the difference
ISO26000 is a social responsibility guide standard numbered 26000 formulated by the International Standard Organization (ISO), which is the latest standard system developed after ISO9000 and ISO14000, which is a new field of ISO.
SA8000:2008 is the core standard issued by the International Social Accountability Organization (SAI), and it is one of the earliest social responsibility standards in the world that can be audited. It is the world's first international standard of ethics based on the International Labour Organization Convention, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. It was first published in October 1997.
The difference between these two standards is:
1. The sponsoring organizations are different, one is ISO and the other is SAI;
2. The ISO26000 international standard focuses on social responsibility issues in the production and practice activities of various organizations, mainly from the scope of social responsibility, understanding social responsibility, social responsibility principles, recognition of social responsibility and stakeholder participation, social responsibility core theme guidelines, social responsibility Integrate into organizational guidelines and other aspects to describe, unify the understanding of social responsibility from all walks of life, provide a guiding standard for organizations to perform social responsibility, and provide a guiding principle for integrating social responsibility into organizational practice. The purpose of SA8000 is to ensure that the products provided by suppliers meet the requirements of social responsibility standards, namely SA8000 standard requirements. It focuses primarily on people, not products and the environment.
3. ISO26000 is implemented independently by enterprises or organizations, while SA8000 is mostly implemented by enterprise customers. If the requirements are not met, shipments or orders may be prohibited.
4, ISO26000 is not a certifiable standard, SA8000 is a certifiable standard.
